This simple pasta sauce can be made up in bulk, frozen in batches and defrosted when needed.
1 small onion, diced finely
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1-2 tsp chopped fresh basil, or ½ tsp dried oregano
dash of hot chilli sauce or a pinch of cayenne(optional)
Fry the onion in a drop of olive oil for a couple of minutes, until soft. Add the herbs and chilli and stir well. Add the passata, stir and then put the lid on the pan and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Suitable for freezing. Pin It
